Toronto, ON – September 2, 2025 — After a whirlwind summer filled with standout performances across multiple disciplines, 26-year-old Canadian driver Alana Carter is set to take another major step forward in her motorsport career. The versatile and determined racer will make her SRO debut in the TC America series with powerhouse team Ricca Autosport, piloting the #74 Hyundai Elantra N1 TC Evo at Barber Motorsports Park, September 4–6.
Carter joins Ricca Autosport at a high point in the team’s season. With 10 wins in 11 races and an 84-point lead in the championship standings, Ricca Autosport is one of the most dominant forces in the series. The race marks Carter’s first outing in a front-wheel drive machine and her debut representing Hyundai in professional competition.
“I’m thrilled to work with this team and Hyundai, who has always been such a supporter of women in the sport,” said Carter. “This is such a big opportunity, and I’m ready to rise to the challenge. The team’s success in TC America speaks volumes, and I know I’m in the right place to grow and compete at the highest level. I’ve been practicing on my SIM but I feel like I’m truly prepared and excited for the chance to drive a new machine and showcase what I can do.”
Carter’s versatility as driver has been on full display this year. In July alone, she competed in four different cars across four disciplines including a Toyota GR86 (Scalar Performance), a Toyota Supra GT4 (AE Victory Racing), a Radical SR3 (Radical Academy), and a Dirt Track Late Model—finishing P4 or higher at least once in each. Her performance at the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto Grand Prix in the Emzone Radical Cup Canada further solidified her reputation as a quick study with an aggressive yet controlled driving style.
A two-time driver shootout winner and FEL Motorsports scholarship recipient, Carter is as strategic off the track as she is fast on it. With a Marketing degree from the University of Alberta, she now applies that same leadership and business acumen to managing her own sponsorships, social media, and racing career. “I feel like I have hustled very hard to get to this point. You have to push yourself, not only on track, but also as a brand.” Carter said.
Raised in a racing family, with her father and uncle competing in stock cars and dirt track events, Carter spent her early childhood as a self-proclaimed “junk yard kid,” jumping cars around the fields of her hometown by age six. That same fearless energy drives her now as she competes against the best in the country.
This season, Carter has benefited from world-class mentorship and coaching through AE Victory Racing’s developmental program, working with respected pro-drivers as well as a certified leadership and performance coach. She’s also receiving personalized support from Dr. Jacques Dallaire through her FEL scholarship helping her sharpen both her driving skills and mindset as she heads into this major race.
As she prepares to take on Barber Motorsports Park with Ricca Autosport, Carter’s relentless pursuit of progress and her unique blend of grit, adaptability, and professionalism continue to make her a name to watch in North American motorsport.
