CASE COMPETITION
Join the nation’s most promising students as they step into the spotlight at the WWDV – Driven by Mobil 1 Summit and Syracuse University Falk College of Sport for the inaugural Case Competition.
A fast-paced challenge where teams tackle a real-world motorsports business problem, brainstorm innovative solutions, and present their recommendations to a panel of industry leaders. It’s a chance to think like a professional, showcase your problem-solving and teamwork skills, and gain exposure in front of executives who can help shape your future. More than a competition, it’s an opportunity to learn, network, and launch your career in motorsports.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate or graduate students from any accredited university, college, trade, or technical school
- Teams of three or four students from the same educational institution
- One faculty/staff advisor per team
- Diversity in team composition is encouraged but not required

How the Fee is Used
The registration fee will go into a Participation Fund for the final teams presenting at the Summit. This fund will be divided among the finalists to help cover travel, lodging, and conference registration expenses. Please note: The Participation Fund is intended to provide support but may not cover all associated costs.
COMPETITION STRUCTURE
ROUND 1
VIRTUAL
- Registered teams will receive the initial case prompt via email on October 17, 2025
- Teams have one week to prepare and submit a 10-minute recorded presentation by October 24, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST
- Submission to a private You Tube channel is recommended due to file sizes
- Presentations will be reviewed by an executive panel of judges
- The Top 5 teams will be notified during the week of October 31, 2025, and invited to compete in person at the WWDV Summit
ROUND 2
IN-PERSON FINALS
- Date: Monday, December 8, 2025
- Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM EST
- Location: Dallara AK ESports
HOW IT WORKS
- Finalist teams will receive a new case prompt one week prior to the competition
- Each team presents a 15-minute session: 10 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for Q&A with judges. Hard stop at 15 minutes regardless of Q&A timing
- Teams may not watch other presentations before their own and are encouraged to attend the concurrent networking event

Submission on private YouTube Channel
To make your channel and its content private (hide your channel):
- Go to YouTube and select your profile icon to navigate to YouTube Studio.
- In the bottom-left menu, click on Settings.
- Select Channel, then Advanced settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and click on Manage YouTube content.
- Click on the option to hide my channel.
- Follow the prompts and check the confirmation boxes to hide your channel, which will make your channel name, videos, playlists, subscribers, and other activity private.

SUBMISSION METHOD
- Upload your file via the official Case Competition Submission Form (link will be emailed with the prompt on October 17)
- You will receive an email confirmation upon successful submission

Yes. The initial registration fee will be placed in a participation fund for the final teams presenting at the conference. This fund will be divided equally to help cover travel, accommodations, and conference registrations.
Dallara-AK Esports LLC – 1201 North Main Street, Speedway, IN 46224 – will host the in-person finals on the afternoon of Monday, December 8, 2025.
The winner will be announced at WIMNA’s Women with Drive V Summit at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Lap 1 – Virtual round
- $100 per university team
Lap 2 – In-Person round
- $300 WWDV discounted registration fee per person includes all students and one advisor.
- Airfare, hotel, ground transportation and meals*
*WWDV meals include opening reception on December 8 and lunch on December 9th. Breakfast and dinners are not included on December 9 &10.
- Registration Deadline: October 10, 2025, by 11:59 PM EST.
- Prompt Distribution: October 17, 2025.
- Teams have one week to prepare a 10-minute recorded presentation based on the initial prompt.

- An executive panel will select the top fine teams to advance to the in-person finals at WWDV.

- One week before the competition, finalist teams will receive a new prompt.
- On competition day, teams will present their findings to a panel of motorsports professionals.
At the WWD V Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, December 10, @ approximately 1:00 PM.
- The top-three will receive a scholarship provided by ABB: 1st Place: $2,500 | 2nd Place: $1,500 | 3rd Place: $1,000.
- A trophy.
- Featured spotlight in the WIMNA Newsletter and social media outreach.
- The opportunity to present their winning presentation to the entire conference during closing day – subject to change.
