AE Victory Racing (AEVR) returns to the World Racing League Championship Final this weekend carrying both momentum and meaning. Coming into what is promised to be an extremely competitive final round, AEVR sits just shy of third place in the standings, a position they held after Watkins Glen but lost when they were unable to attend the Sebring round. The team is eager to prove themselves on the track and at the same time have a few milestones to celebrate and look forward to.

Two Years Later: From a Startup to a Serious Contender
This weekend marks the two-year anniversary of AE Victory Racing’s first race, where the then-new team climbed from last place to finish P12. The team consisted of just 7 people including team owners Erin Vogel and Aaron Snair, with Vogel, Montgomery, and Heart of Racing driver Hannah Grisham in the driver’s seat.
Since that 2023 debut, the program has expanded dramatically in both scale and capability. Even as team founders Vogel and Snair remain home this weekend to welcome their first baby, the team will arrive in the paddock this weekend with a 17-person crew, including engineering and strategy, data analysis, mental performance coaching, hospitality, an expanded pit crew, and a marketing team. The program’s ability to perform at full strength without its co-founders physically present marks a major step in AEVR’s evolution. Vogel says her absence underscores the team’s evolution from a grassroots effort into a professional program with depth, capability, and confidence. “Of course I always wish I could be with the team but I am incredibly proud of how far we have come. Not only are we building a legitimate program with all the workings of a pro outfit, but the fact that I have no qualms about not being there in person is a true testament to the power of the program.”
All Signs Point Forward in 2026
AE Victory Racing announced in November the purchase of a second Toyota Supra GT4 and the opening of applications for the 2026 Female Driver Shootout. With the launch of a two-car program comes additional room within the Driver Development Program, and Vogel is hopeful that the team could have up to three seats available for emerging drivers seeking a professional pathway. The application window for AEVR’s 2026 Driver Shootout is open now and will close this Sunday, with finalists announced in early January.
Interest in the program has already grown significantly from last year’s inaugural shootout, which will return in late January with its comprehensive, holistic evaluation process. Drivers are assessed for not just on-track performance, but also communication, resilience, and teamwork. As Vogel noted, “The shootout is not just about finding the driver. The entire process is collaborative and informative in a way we rarely get to witness in an all-female space in motorsport. I think even those who don’t get the seat walk away changed for the better by the process.”
As AE Victory Racing wraps a landmark season marked by growth, expanded resources, new pathways for women, and a push toward the championship podium, the team arrives at the WRL finale with undeniable momentum and an even more ambitious 2026 in sight.
